Colonygram

The Colonygram is a bi-monthly newsletter published by OWC to keep our members up to date on news of the Colony and its members, in addition to general news for writers.  

The Colonygram is a bi-monthly newsletter issued to members of Oregon Writers Colony. Written with the writer in mind, it features news about OWC events, contests, and publications. News and views from our members are presented with an emphasis on what is working for other writers, written by and about writers and the writing life. Drawing on a diverse and deeply talented membership, Colonygram offers a forum to members who want to contribute works that will be of value to professional and novice writers. Like OWC, the Colonygram is a place for writers working together to provide nurturing opportunities whereby the literary life is supported and encouraged in a community of peers.  To query about submissions, contact Sue Bronson or call OWC at (503) 827-8072.

Colonygram subscriptions are available to members only, but sample Colonygram issues are sent to potential members and handed out at  various workshops.

Seasoned With Words: Stories, Memoirs & Poems About Food

The Colonyhouse Cookbook Seasoned With Words: Stories, Memoirs & Poems About Food, was published Christmas, 1998, and sold in bookstores throughout the Northwest, with wide appeal. The stories (all about food) run from beautiful to bizarre.  We had great fun publishing it, and you'll have even greater fun reading it.  The book is available directly from us if your favorite bookstore doesn't have it.
